Pre and After School Care:
The Grantham Preparatory School offers a service of pre- and after-school care between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time. The service is run by two fully qualified members of Staff.
Accidental Insurance:
All pupils are covered by an HSBC Scheme organised and paid for by the School, at no extra cost to parents. Cover is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with all sporting and leisure activities being included.
Medical Information:
Any medical requirements in respect of special treatments or equipment must always be notified to the School in writing. Parents have the prime responsibility for their child's health and should provide school with information about their child's medical condition.
There is no legal duty that requires The Grantham Preparatory School to adminster medicines. However, any staff managing the administration of medicines must follow The Grantham Preparatory School procedure for administering medicines.
Children suffering from asthma are permitted to have an inhaler in school, which will be kept in the school office. If your child requires medicine to be administered during the school day, a Medical Permission form must be completed in the school office, medicine should then be given to the Secretary for safe keeping in the school office or in a lockable container in the fridge. On no account must any medicines be left with a child. Addresses, emergency telephone numbers and current mobile phone numbers must be kept up to date and notification of any changes made in writing to the School.
