Netball Report

Both the Under 9 and 11 netball teams were in action this week with a return to Ayscoughfee Hall School for a three way fixture with Peterborough High School.

The Under 11's first match was against Ayscoughfee and although they weren't as tall as their opponents managed to make some spectacular interceptions and passed the ball extremely swiftly. Our shooters were also on form and scored some excellent goals. The final score was 9 - 2 to TGPS, well done! The Under 11's second match was against Peterborough and again our opponents were tall. The game followed the same pattern with excellent interception particularly by our Wind Defence to lead to a 7 - 0 victory.

The Under 9's got off to a good start against Ayscoughfee with equal possession and some excellent attempts at goal. TGPS defended well but Ayscoughfee managed to secure one more goal than TGPS to win 2 - 1. Against Peterborough the TGPS shooters found their form and managed a spectacular 11 goals in 14 minutes to secure a 11 - 0 victory. A fantastic result, well done!
